Education Operations Compliance Monitor
Purpose: This position will evaluate YWCA St. Louis Early Education (YWCA) and Child Care Partner (Partners) centers in complying with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri Licensing, Missouri Accreditation (MOA), and other regulations through ongoing monitoring and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
Visit YWCA and Partner centers to complete monitoring assignments identifying program strengths, weaknesses and non-compliant issues in the areas of: health and safety, and overall operations
Perform desktop monitoring of reports, identifying Potential Areas of Non-Compliance (PANC) and challenges that impact program wide operations; document and follow-up on non-compliances and findings, ensuring that corrective actions have been completed in a timely manner
Perform formal and informal observations in the classrooms. Interview staff, conduct children records checks and review monitoring checklists.
Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Associate Education Operations Administrators and enter information into ChilPlus.net
Prepare reports of monitoring visits and maintain documentation of center monitoring activities
Evaluate Education Operations systems for documenting activities and providing reliable information for program implementation and compliance
Work with the Education Operations Unit to ensure continuous quality improvements
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the YWCA and Partner centers in order to determine compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri Licensing and MOA, as well as assist and provide guidance when addressing occurrences and areas of non-compliance
Job Requirements
Working knowledge of Performance Standards, MO Licensing, Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations
Working knowledge of ChildPlus.net
Problem solving, Adaptability, Organizational skills, Communication and Interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field and 10+ classes in Early Childhood Education
Working knowledge of Early Childhood practices/child care center operations preferred
Must obtain CLASS reliability certification within 1 year of hire
