Nutrition Services Manager

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the position is to facilitate and implement food service delivery system and food service contract with the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to ensure guidelines are met and maintained to meet the nutritional needs of enrolled children in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, CACFP, Missouri licensing, program policies and procedures and all other applicable state and federal regulations. Provide direction and guidance to Lead Nutrition Aide and Nutrition Aides.

Job Responsibilities:

*Provide direct supervision of Lead Nutrition Aide and Nutrition Aides for Head Start centers in accordance with program, local, state and federal guidelines to ensure that Nutrition Services program deliverables are met and maintained

*Monitor reimbursement contract with state and oversee procedures for implementation to include maintaining accurate records for food service expenses and reimbursements

*Monitor food service to ensure CACFP and Head Start Program Performance Standards are met and maintained and preparation and submission of monthly reimbursement claim to the state and all other appropriate reports for the Business Office

*Direct and oversee food service operations associated with $1million-dollar food service contract awarded thru the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to ensure compliance with program, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines

*Manage record keeping system for Nutrition Services to include daily and weekly monitoring and monthly auditing of meal counts, daily attendance, vendor invoices, supply inventory and other related records associated with Nutrition Services and required by CACFP to ensure compliance is met and maintained 

Job Requirements, Skills and Abilities:

*Knowledge of Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines, Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri state and local licensing rules related to health and sanitary regulations, program policies and procedures and all other applicable regulations

*Ability to input, retrieve, analyze and interpret data contained in internal database system

*Exhibit exceptional customer service skills with staff, parents, program participants and other staff

*Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks with ease

*Exceptional oral and written skills

Education & Experience Requirements:

*Four-year college education; ServSafe Certification
