Supervisor Crisis Intervention


This position is responsible for the supervision of the Intervention Advocate staff as well as supporting and delivering the services provided by the Crisis Intervention Team to domestic and sexual violence victims/survivors.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise the professional and volunteer staff to ensure that progress on programmatic goals are being met to include, review of data, case file reviews, implementation of evaluation systems and PQI recommendations are being upheld

Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, advocacy and consultation over the phone or in face to face situations while maintains confidentiality as outlined by the MCADSV Service Standards

Develops and facilitates workshops and community education for survivors, their families and community professionals

Regularly attends staff and agency meetings/trainings; evaluate and process progress of support group(s)

Maintains and submits accurate and required records, evaluations and statistics for internal and grant purposes in a timely manner

Submits monthly statistical information to comply with funding requirements

Attends community and professional meetings as needed

Continues to develop as a professional working in domestic violence intervention and issues connected with violence against women

Supports, advances, and enhances YWCA Metro St. Louis' mission, goals and objectives

Job Requirements:

Advanced working knowledge of the issues of violence against women; specifically working with victims of domestic violence

Knowledge of the effects of trauma, substance abuse and mental health issues in regards to victim's coping and decision-making skills

Demonstrated skills and knowledge in crisis intervention and victim advocacy, experience facilitating support groups and/or workshops

Advanced working knowledge of court systems, community resources and services available to victims strongly preferred

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

Minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience related to domestic or sexual violence preferred

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred

Education Requirements

B.S. in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Sociology; Master's degree preferred
