Compliance Monitor - Nutrition

 

The purpose of this position is to evaluate and assess compliance of YWCA centers and Child Care Partners through a structured ongoing monitoring system and developed in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards, Missouri licensing, CACFP guidelines, program policies and procedures and all applicable regulations.

 

Job Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and periodic monitoring assignments related to Nutrition Services in order to identify program's strengths and weaknesses compliant, non-compliant, potential area of non-compliance and occurrences utilizing a formalized monitoring module in the Child Plus Database system in alignment with a structured monitoring system

Perform CACFP observations, formal and informal, record checks, interviewing staff, review checklists and observing family style dining in classrooms

Prepare and submit weekly reports for dissemination to respective staff

On-going desk top monitoring of meal count reports and attendance reports identifying compliance and/or noncompliance issues to identify irregularities/deficiencies to ensure that corrective action is implemented to ensure that compliance is met and maintained; communicate with Nutrition Services Specialist any corrections or irregularities to ensure accuracy of CACFP reporting

Perform scheduled and periodic monitoring assignments related to Health Services in order to identify program's strengths and weaknesses to assess compliant, non-compliant and potential area of non-compliance and occurrences utilizing a formalized monitoring

Provide training and technical assistance to YWCA center staff and child care partner staff upon request under the direction of the Sr. Health & Nutrition Services Administrator, Nutrition Services Specialist and the Health & Nutrition Monitoring Specialist

Evaluate systems for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable information for program implementation, enhanced program operation and program wide compliance 

Job Requirements 

Knowledge of CACFP guidelines, Head Start Performance Standards, Missouri licensing, Nutrition Services and all other applicable policies and procedures

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to lead as well as be a team player

Excellent customer service, organization, management skills

Ability to problem solve

Education Requirements

Four (4) year college education preferably in Health, Nutrition, or Social Services. Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
